Our Humble Beginnings
Luxari Travel was born out of a shared passion for exploration, adventure, and a deep appreciation for the finer things in life. Back in lockdown, our founder Ari came up against a bit of a life drama after spending his life working in the theatre. It looked as if the theatre was never going to get back to its heyday so he looked at alternative options - with his love of travelling, it was a sure bet that travel was his next move, so he purchased a ‘Not Just Travel’ franchise to provide him the means to organise other people’s dream holidays in a safe and organised manner, with the financial protection that comes from ABTA membership.
He believed that travel should be more than just a trip; it should be a transformative experience that enriches your life and leaves you with lasting memories… and if you can do it in a luxury manner whilst spending less even better! He set out to help people get the best for their money, sharing all the insider secrets he’d learnt from his luxury travels.
COVID looked like it was on the way out, and the world started opening back up, so it was back to the international tour circuit for Ari. Not Just Travel continued for him but now as a secondary work path, he concentrated on providing excellent service for his existing customers, alongside working as the Head of Sound for a global entertainment company - hint they’re blue and they play drums!
Fast forward to 2022 and Ari met Gina - an international cabin crew purser for a well-known British airline. He had met his match in travel! After a few months of travelling together on trips around the world, they realised it was too good an opportunity not to team up and create a travel agency off the back of the Not Just Travel franchise work that Ari had already set up.
That brings us to the start of Luxari Travel.
As we built Luxari Travel, another opportunity was too good to pass up in Mollie (Gina’s sister). After spending the past decade working in travel, for luxury accommodation providers, to group tour operators, to worldwide expedition specialists, her knowledge of niche travel is invaluable for our clients, so she signed on as our third Travel Concierge.
